Happy Monday Spring Challenge - Watermarble: It worked!

Hi all :)

Todays Happy Monday Spring Challenge is watermarble :) Last time I did a watermarble I was thrilled that I was almost succesful in doing it, but couldn't really manipulate the polish.. This time I was actually able to do just that! Yay!!

The outcome still aren't perfect, but it's so much better! I used China Glaze polishes this time, so I guess I'll do that next time too ;)

I used China Glaze Def Defying and Exotic Encounters. The base is the Soak off Gel polish from last monday's challenge - next time I'm doing a watermarble I'm def going to use a SOG base again! It makes it easy to start over if something goes wrong!

Here's the overview of the theme of the challenge (but the order is a bit different now!)

Here's the other watermarble manis - check them out ;)

Laced Glacier Bay Blue

Hi all :)

This is an old kinda failed mani.. I wanted to wear OPI Glacier Bay Blue because I realized I hadn't worn it.. It's a lovely duochrome =) I wanted to stamp something white on top.. Unfortunately the white I - Depend  no. 288 - chose weren't really stamping-material, so it's not the best stamping job..

But look how beautiful Glacier Bay Blue is:

Happy Monday Spring Challenge - Fave Spring Color: Orly Fresh

Hi all :)

Today's theme in our Danish blogger group Happy Monday the challenge is our fave spring color! As soon as I saw this prompt I knew which polish I was going to use: Orly Fresh! It's just the nicest spring green with a pinch of neon in it! Green is my fave color already, so it's a total win in my book!

I did a two-colored stamp with Milani Chocolate Sprinkles and Laura Clauvi STAMP Backyard and MoYou London Mother Nature Collection plate 03. Since Chocolate Sprinkles is not a stamping polish I had to go back over the stamp with a brush to make the branches a bit more visible.

On the other nails I did two coats of Love Thy Polish Swamp Monster (Yes, my second handmixed polish).

This mani makes me ridiciously happy: The colors are perfect, I love trees and Swamp Monster is an amazing glitter (albeit a bit sparse).

Here's the overview of the rest of the challenge - even though we are going to switch around on some of the themes..

And here's the other challenge manis for today:

My first handmixed polish with Sticky Nails chevrons!

Hi all :)

Yes, I am that late to the party.. But one of my first handmade polishes (I bought three in one order) is Glam Polish Angry Birds in Space.. And it is just lovely =)

I combined it with chevrons in kinda matching colors and I used Sticky Nails for the chevrons.. I was lucky enough to win a set from their Facebook page and they arrived just a few days later even though they had to go all the way to Denmark!

I was happy to get the chance to have flawless chevrons on my nails, instead of me having to paint them free hand - or worse yet: placing individual pieces of tape.. This was quite easy even though most of the sticker came of - including the pieces that were supposed to be 'holes' (if that makes sense?) But it wasn't too difficult to remove those pieces..

I was impressed at how easy they came of the nail again.. I expected some pulling of the polish because I chose to do each chevron in different colors, so it took a bit longer if I had just done a two-toned chevron pattern. But it worked like a charm!

Okay enough rambling! I just wanted to share my experience ;)

The polishes involved:
I used Glam Polish Angry Birds in Space, Ciate Big Yellow Taxi, Gosh Lavender Love, Barry M no 279 and Ciate Mojito.
What was your first handmixed polish? And have you tried Sticky Nails?

Have fun and take care :)

Spring Challenge - Valentine & Love: Ikat hearts..

Hi all :)

We are some Danish bloggers who are doing a Spring Challenge each Monday, so this is the first one and the theme is Valentine & Love..

I just saw Katy from Nailed It's tutorial on Ikat Hearts and thought I would do that. I'm not too fond of pink and stuff, so I kept it a bit more neutral..

I used Sally Hansen Stocking Nude as a base. It macthes my skin tone much more in real life - both the polish and my skin is not color accurate in the pictures ;) I did the hearts with OPI All That Razz-berry and H&M Mambo. All That Razz-berry wasn't quite opaque enough to do this design, unfortunately. On the other nails I did a coat of OPI Polka.com
